Well the Fly Chuckers season is official on the books.
Thanks to every one that showed up. It was fun tying.
Here are a couple of announcements;

The Film Tour is a Friday night this year. and as a special treat for us, Kevin Kuta has booked JP Lipton to come tie for us on Saturday Feb 2nd at out Fly Chucker's meeting. I hope you all can attend. JP is one of my favorite fly tiers. If you haven't seen him tie before (even if you have) you are in for a treat. With his innovative patterns and dubbing techniques, you will be amazed. His primary fish is rough fish and his stories and technique for them will make you itch to get out on the water. I'm very excited to have him back!
Here is a link to his web site. When you look at the quality of his tying you will be amazed. link -roughfisher.com
These are a couple of my favorite flies from JP (copied from his website)

ReplyDeleteWhat's your adhesive of choice when bonding layers of craft foam?
ReplyDeletethanks,
pete
that depends on how big of section i'm doing. Large sections and if I have time I like contact cement. I also use 3M's 77 spary adhesive. and for small sections I just use super glue. There are a couple other glues made for foam but I don't have enough expereance with them.
